The Mid-Atlantic Undergraduate Research Conference (MAURC) will be the first STEM regional research conference at Virginia Tech. The goal of this conference is to promote research among undergraduates attending Virginia Tech and other peer research institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region.
“Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought”
Ali Toloczko, President
Ali is a senior at Virginia Tech pursuing Chemical Engineering and Clinical Neuroscience, with a minor in Chemistry. After attending various conferences across the United States, Ali decided that she wanted to bring the same level of enthusiasm and inspiration about research to Virginia Tech. Ali handles all the big picture concepts of the conference and is available via email to answer any questions.
Kaleigh Wellhofer, Vice President of Outreach
Kaleigh is a senior at Virginia Tech pursuing dual degrees in Clinical Neuroscience and Psychology, while minoring in Professional and Technical Writing. Kaleigh directs the conference outreach and coordinates the sponsorships that have made this conference possible.
Andrew Biscardi, Vice President of Operations
Andrew, a senior in Biological Sciences, is interested in research, medicine, and how the collaboration between different disciplines can reveal discoveries that have the chance to positively impact society.
